DET also known as the Diploma in Education and Training previously known as the DTTLS (Diploma to teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) It is a Level five professional course approved and developed from the SET (Society for Education and Training). It is designed for students who work in either a full-time or a part-time teaching position. Following the successful completion of the training, candidates will be eligible to earn the qualified teacher Learning as well as Skills (QTLS) status. The entry requirements for the DET Course
The minimum requirements for entry into the DET course are:
A minimum of 100 hours teaching experience
GCSEs with GCSEs in English language and/or Mathematics in Grades 9-4 , or Grades A* to C.
Level 3 abilities or equivalent if they are studying some courses in teaching literacy or numeracy.
