Connetix tiles are an amazing and flexible open-ended toy that will amaze you. It was certainly the case for us! They’re beautiful and clear, but yet robust. It’s amazing to observe how they draw children’s attentionand can entice them to engage in a game for many hours or even for days. There’s a lot you can do with them!
The magnetic tiles stimulate their imagination, stimulate their curiosity and aid in developing spatial awareness. They are ideal for flat designs as well as 3D construction and require lots of problem-solving in play time. I believe it’s a great toy for boys and girls of all ages. They are able to play together. About Connetix
Connetix is an Aussie-based firm that was officially established in the year 2019 by two families that became acquainted when their children began going to the same primary school. Are Connetix tiles fun?
Oh my! Yes! Absolutely! My kids have a lot of fun with them . they can construct whatever they can imagine. In reality, the only limitation for their creative imagination.
You can construct homes, animals, vehicles garages, rockets and garages ball runs, and slides… The possibilities are endless.
It’s a great toy to play with inside However, it is also possible to take them outdoors. We’ve used a few tiles for short excursions for a visit to the doctor’s appointment to keep children entertained. It’s also a great toy to play with your children so that they can play together (when they’re smaller) or construct things in a group.
What’s great with open-ended toys such as the ones in these is they evolve as your children grow. What they build will change as they gain greater skills. What is Connetix tiles?
Connetix tiles have magnetic properties that are made from ABS plastic that is non-toxic and BPA as well as Lead as well as Phthalate free. What made us choose Connectix?
There have been a few sets of magnetic tiles in the past and they’ve always been a huge hit in our the house. They were gifts that came as a surprise from friends and family My children were enthralled by them from the time they were delivered. But the size of sets was very small and the amount of work they could use them for was limited. These are the two sets we owned:
After seeing how much they loved being with the set, I decided that we could go further at home and get an even bigger set they could play together and not fight over the lone two “big pieces” that we have. So I began to research to make sure Santa could bring us an incredible present as a family, an enormous set.
I’d been seeing Connetix tiles for a while on Instagram they were so gorgeous and unique that they captivated my heart. However, I did more study at different tiles and sets. I was certain that I needed solid magnets and a set of more than two large squares (to prevent fighting) and clear tiles that let me play the lightness of the tiles, and a quick shipping back to Spain. Connetix met all of the requirements and the Connetix Pastel colors was the main reason for me to choose them. The tiles are that are as stunning as these. They are absolutely stunning. we chose to go with the pastel collection.
At one point I was unsure whether we should purchase the Rainbow colors tiles so that they would match the tiles we already had at home. However, at the end of the day I thought the pastels were beautiful enough to let go of. It is possible to combine Connetix with the Connetix along with Magtiles we own, but we don’t would.
I placed an order through their website in November. There was talk of driver shortages as well as issues with delivery until the end of 2021. Since I could not locate the items in the stores I normally shop at, I conducted some research and found that they were selling direct in Europe. It was a wonderful choice. The idea of creating these was my children’s first instincts. They began building houses castles, towers, or towers. It is an accurate statement to say that this is their favourite way to play on the floor with tiles.
Flat and pattern designs as well as patterns
I enjoy making pattern designs and patterns and they love too. Geometric patterns, flowers characters castles, rockets, rockets – you can name it! It’s hard, but possible, and you feel so happy when the idea becomes realized.
Transports
They’re great for building cards including trains, trucks, rockets, spaceships and planes – whatever you can think of they could make. The mega set includes two car bases, which are ideal to build, however you can buy the bases as separate items.
Small world of play
Connetix tiles are great to add color to your tiny world installations. Create a lake, field or a few bushes, trees tiny houses Igloos, tents, garages, train stations – whatever you can think of to make the small world more appealing and more fun and colorful.
Balls run
Ball runs are a lot of enjoyable with the tiles. The sound of falling balls is captivating. Also, we have balls run sets however, you don’t have to use it to make ball runs. Instead of using slides, create levels that use the tile as ramps. you must be creative and have exciting. You could also make rings to let rings and coins tumble down. It’s also lots of fun. You can also have mini cars run down.
Ball maze
The maze can be a great option to play using balls as well as Connetix tiles. Instead of rolling them across different levels, you can make them roll flat. I thought of making the maze on an unfinished tray (If we had Connetix large plates I would have made use of the ones) And since the maze was quite weighty I considered placing it on a cushion. As a result the child is able to direct the ball without carrying the weight. Simply press the corners to alter the angle. I am in love with these!
Games
These are fantastic sources to make games. You can design a tick-tack toe checkers board or snakes and ladders soccer field There are a myriad of games to play or even invent!
ABC & 123
The tiles are an excellent tool to help you learn ABCs , 123 and more. The Connetix website, you will get some fantastic free tools. For instance, they have cards for numbers, as well as real-sized A3 printables of numbers in in black and white. You can also print templates for letters, which can be a great method to draw their attention and begin to identify the letters.
It’s not possible to print on A3 size, therefore I haven’t attempted them. You can however, take the paper in a big piece and lay out your design and trace each tile, and give the paper to your child so that they must fill it in using the pieces. It’s like a giant puzzle that they can complete using any combination of colors. Write letters, their names or even objects and patterns that they’ll enjoy. A lot of fun!
It is also possible to draw on the tiles using chalk pen, and then have them select the letters that spell their name or the words. You can also write numbers and match the numbers to items. The possibilities are infinite.
Where can we keep where do we store our Connetix tiles?
When we first received the carts, we kept them in their original boxes. However, after a couple of weeks, I decided to buy the cart made of metal from Ikea and it’s been the best choice ever. The tiles are stored in the cart all the time and are able to be moved effortlessly around the home. I store the boxes just in case I need play with the toy inside the cart, however they’ve been there for 2 months in a row and I have played with them nearly every day, so they aren’t going anywhere.
Connecting to other tiles
I’ve heard that the tiles can be connected to several other tiles from the brand like Magnatiles, and Picasso tiles.
I’ve had the opportunity to test out the Playmag tiles we have in our home, and they do connect and you can even combine the two. The colors clash somewhat because we use Connetix pastels as well as the Playmags that come in Rainbow colors, however my kids can overlook the issue if it means that their structure will be more.
If you are worried that your current system could be connected with these, it most likely will.

If you’re considering buying some magnets for your kids do not be afraid to try it. We are so glad we have them in our lives and haven’t regretted it a single time. For us, the Connetix pastel collection is the most gorgeous thing you can find. We are in love with it and would highly recommend it.
